Hirsh Precision now offers Metal Finishing

Precision component prepared for anodize

Original Publication Date: August 30, 2021

We are very excited to announce that we have joined forces with our dedicated supplier and long-time partner - Hirsh Finishes (previously Best Finishes)!

Best Finishes is a premier anodizing operation, and their work is second to none in Colorado. Our decision to partner with their team was made with two goals in mind:

  • Support our customers with industry-leading service and technical expertise in metal finishing
  • Reduce the lead time of our manufacturing solutions

Why Bring Anodizing In-House?

As a precision manufacturer, you face several hurdles when it comes to delivering high-quality parts to your customers on time. Whether it’s maintaining the required tolerances, acquiring the necessary materials, or beating lead times – there are many factors that must be considered.

Surface finishing, and especially anodizing, is just one of those many hurdles our team considers when quoting a job for a customer. Because anodization is frequently outsourced by machining companies and the production scheduling is rarely integrated, it’s a consistent challenge to stay on top of lead times and deliver parts on time.

Best Finishes has quickly emerged as one of Colorado’s leading metal finishing companies, and it has been led with the same focus on quality and customer services as Hirsh Precision since its doors opened.  Hirsh Precision’s acquisition of Best Finishes, and our approach to integrating with the Best Finishes team, is simple and straightforward.

Together, we aim to set the standard of excellence in precision manufacturing solutions where we are always building a simple, integrated, and industry-leading customer experience.

Type-3-Anodize-Dyed-1

Located in Colorado Springs, Best Finishes was founded by James Berry and Deborah Baisley in 2018. Since opening their doors in 2019, Best Finishes has grown their services to include:

  • Type II Anodize, Classes 1 and 2
  • Type III Anodize, Classes 1 and 2
  • Chemical Conversion Chem-Film
  • Passivation of Stainless Steel

James Berry, our Operations Manager, has 25 years of precision anodizing experience, which allows our team to process extremely difficult parts with confidence. The team’s process control also allows for high repeatability load after load.

The Hirsh Precision team is excited to announce this latest expansion of our teamwork and our manufacturing capabilities.  Our customers love our creative energy and passion for continuous improvement, and we’re delighted that now includes the metal finishing process!
